Quality control and traceability for a consistent fastener quality
Before the start of the processing – the production of bolts, nuts and washers – the raw material arrives as long steel bars. Before their storage in an automatic high bay racking the steel bars run through a quality management process.
Every further step of processing is kept recorded. By this ongoing quality management procedures we promote a consistent and high product quality of our fasteners.
IHF fasteners are not determined to any specific material. The material used is usually specified by the technical demands of the customer’s application. Often the target bolt quality is a first factor for the specification:
According to ISO-898 common bolt qualities are:
- Bolts: 8.8, 10.9, 12.9
- Nuts: 8, 10, 12
